Our client is looking for a TGCM Technician 1 to join their team in Lehi, Ut.

B shift - Sun, Mon, Tue, every other Sat (Hours 6PM - 615 AM) - Pay Rate $17.20/hr D shift - Wed, Thurs, Fri and every other Sat (Hours 6PM - 615 AM) - Pay Rate $17.20/hr

Candidate Questionnaire: If the candidates answers to these questions are all "Yes" then the manager would very much like to interview them .

  • Are you comfortable working with hazardous chemicals (acids) and toxic gases, provided you have the proper training and protective equipment?
  • Full face and supplied air respirators are required in 15 min intervals 6-7 times per day. Do you forsee any issues with wearing a respirator?
  • Respirators require us to be clean shaven (no beards) are you comfortable with being clean shaven for the duration of your employment?
  • We walk 8-10 miles a day. Inside and outside with lots of stairs. Are you comfortable with walking this much?
  • This is a 24 hour a day 7days a week operation. You may be required to work holidays if your schedule dictates. Are you willing to work holidays (including christmas and thanksgiving)?
  • We currently only have openings on night shift. Are you comfortable working graveyards? (6PM to 6 AM)
  • This position starts at $16.20 per hour ($15 per hour base +$1.2 night shift stipends) does this meet your salary expectations?
  • Min 90 day trial period (working for staffing agency) before being hired on with. Are you comfortable with this?
  • Do they have a high school diploma or GED?

Job Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

  • Maintain and operate liquid bulk and specialty gas/chemical delivery equipment.
  • Perform minor inspections and preventive maintenance on gas and chemical related equipment. Perform daily rounds including recording readings, completing safety inspections, monitoring online gas and chemical systems, verifying toxic gas monitoring operations, and completing chemical tote/drum and gas cylinder change-outs.
  • Monitor and understand correct liquid bulk delivery procedures for each product on site. Perform bulk gas and chemical trailer transfers.
  • Make initial evaluations and then obtain proper assistance when confronted with problem situations.
  • Active member of the Emergency Response Team.
  • Satisfactorily complete TGCM Tech Level I local OJT minimum requirements within 12 months in job grade.
  • Participate in customer and company programs including, but not limited to: Safety, Training, Operations, and Preventive Maintenance.
  • Train TGCM Tech Level I employees.
  • Comply with all applicable HS&E Standards including, but not limited to: PPE, Forklift Operations, Lock Out/Tag Out Program, Confined Space Entry, etc.
  • Complete assigned tasks as per existing procedure.
  • Performs minor analytical procedures and/or sampling procedures.
  • Accountable for the safety of all persons, and general public surrounding facilities.
  • Safety is a condition of continued employment.

General Requirements:

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED.
  • Good Communication Skills: Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions.
  • Evidence of previous work in a successful team environment.
  • Knowledge of all proper reporting procedures per onsite operations policy, including product acceptance criteria, tank fill, inventory and material usage, monitoring, safety parameters and personnel requirements.
  • Self-motivated to learn.
  • Electro-mechanical aptitude.
  • Able to understand and abide by stringent safety rules.
  • Moderate to heavy lifting may be required.
  • Moderate to heavy walking/standing.
