Business Analyst

Our client is seeking a Business Analyst to join their team in Hartford, Fort Wayne or Greensboro.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a liaison among stakeholders in order to understand the structure, policies, and operations of a department/unit, and recommend solutions that enable them to achieve goals by bringing structure and formalization of requirements into the process
  • Gather and document business requirements, review test strategies and test plans, assist in integration and acceptance testing, support the development of training and implementation material, participate in the implementation, and provide post-implementation support as well as responsibility for investigating business systems, identify options for improving business systems, and assist in bridging the needs of the business with technology; May also be called upon to develop project plans and provide project management skills
  • Analyze more complex assignments and/or projects for assigned area(s) of responsibility
  • Champion and enhance organizational testing initiatives by positively influencing and supporting change management and/or departmental/enterprise initiatives within assigned area(s) of responsibility
  • Recommend testing process improvements that reduce workloads or improve quality for assigned area(s) of responsibility
  • Act as a resource to testing team members and applicable internal/external stakeholders on more complex assignments/projects for the assigned area(s) of responsibility
  • Maintain knowledge on current and emerging developments/trends for assigned area(s) or responsibility, assess the impact, and collaborate with management to incorporate new trends and developments in current and future solutions
  • Collaborate with key internal stakeholders to elicit business/test requirements, identify issues, determine root cause(s), document business needs and ensure adherence to governance guidelines
  • Develop more complex business/test requirements for assigned area(s) of responsibility
  • Using structured requirements process, clearly articulate, document and validate business requirements
  • Act as a resource to appropriate internal stakeholders to ensure solutions meets business needs
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to assess, select and recommend appropriate solution/approach that will achieve business goals
  • Collaborate with appropriate stakeholders on more complex issues and conflicts that impact time, cost, scope, quality and risk of assigned projects
  • Validate that the IT solution meets the business need by developing more complex acceptance criteria and plan to evaluate; May provide testing support
  • Recommend the most appropriate response to identified problems/issues/defects by assessing impact and prioritization

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of relevant experience
  • Adaptive/Lean project experience
  • Agile experience is a plus
