Business Analyst

Our client is seeking a Business Analyst to join their team in Hartford, Fort Wayne or Greensboro.


  • Act as a liaison among stakeholders in order to understand the structure, policies, and operations of a department/unit, and recommend solutions that enable them to achieve goals by bringing structure and formalization of requirements into the process
  • Gather and document business requirements, assist in integration and acceptance testing, support the development of training and implementation material, participate in the implementation, and provide post-implementation support, as well as responsibility for investigating business systems, identifying options for improving business systems, and assisting in bridging the needs of the business with technology
  • Develop project plans and provide project management skills
  • Consult on more complex assignments and/or projects for assigned area(s) of responsibility
  • Enhance organizational initiatives by positively influencing and supporting change management and/or departmental/enterprise initiatives within assigned area(s) of responsibility
  • Identify and recommend process improvements that significantly reduce workloads or improve quality for assigned area(s) of responsibility
  • Serves as a resource to team members and applicable internal/external stakeholders on more complex assignments/projects for the assigned area(s) of responsibility
  • Maintain knowledge on current and emerging developments/trends for assigned area(s) or responsibility, assess the impact, and collaborate with management to incorporate new trends and developments in current and future solutions
  • Collaborate with key internal stakeholders to elicit business requirements, identify issues, determine root cause(s), document business needs and ensure adherence to governance guidelines
  • Develop more complex business requirements for assigned area(s) of responsibility
  • Using structured requirements process, clearly articulates, documents and validates business requirements
  • Act as a resource to appropriate internal stakeholders to ensure solutions meets business needs
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to assess, select and recommend appropriate solution/approach that will achieve business goals
  • Collaborate effectively with appropriate stakeholders on more complex issues and conflicts that impact time, cost, scope, quality and risk of assigned projects
  • Validate that the solution meets the business need by developing more complex acceptance criteria and plan to evaluate
  • Recommend the most appropriate response to identified problems/issues/defects by assessing impact and prioritization


  • 4-6 years of experience
  • Adaptive/Lean project experience
  • Agile experience is a plus
