Systems Analysis Advisor

A health services firm is seeking a Systems Analysis Advisor to join their team in Philadelphia, PA.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary lead for managing day-to-day production operations for outsourced managed systems including Sales and Policy Administration; Enrollment, Medical Underwriting, and Billing; Claims and Leave Management; and Financial Management systems
  • Provide comprehensive consultation to business unit and outsourced managed services partner at the highest technical level on all phases of issue analysis, incident management and problem management
  • Act as the production support technical management lead partnering with operational readiness team in coordinating and implementing new capabilities or enhancements into the production environment
  • Act as the production lead for reviewing, coordinating and implementing baseline production changes across the Group release calendar
  • Work with Client's Technology Services team to deliver high availability systems for business customers and clients
  • Participate in priority incident management crisis calls, weekly calls with IT and business partners on issues impacting business productivity
  • Coordinate with project and software delivery teams on sessions for new applications transitioning to production support Lead problem analysis, and root cause analysis on key issues impacting service to customers
  • Project manage full SDLC for assigned projects following team standards and guidelines - planning, design, development, testing, implementation, documentation, and maintenance
  • Ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget and are of the highest quality, meeting all team standards
  • Ensure that production support SLA metrics are met monthly
  • Ensure change management processes on team are followed per change and release management guidelines
  • Research and evaluate alternative solutions and recommend the most efficient and cost-effective application programming solution for continuous improvement opportunities

Qualifications

  • At least five, typically eight or more years of solid, diverse work experience in IT with a minimum of three years of experience in application program development, or the equivalent in education and work experience
  • History of strong communication and collaboration abilities in a highly matrixed environment
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong planning abilities highly desirable
  • Knowledge of or experience in the following technologies:
    • HP Service Manager or other Incident/problem management tools
    • MS SQL Server
    • Oracle/PL SQL
    • Linux (Redhat)
    • MS Visio
    • Rally Agile Central
    • Subversion, Team Foundation Server or other source code management tools
    • CA ESP or other batch scheduling tool
    • Splunk
