Cybersecurity Engineer-Penetration Tester (Security Clearance)

Conduct vulnerability tests and analyze problems in a methodical manner

Assist in information security risk assessment by identifying risks in the current security posture

Assist in developing appropriate security measures for system flaws

Maintain activities log for each penetration test administered and its outcomes

Perform attack simulations on systems and applications to determine and exploit security flaws

Handle flows from “black box” to “grey box” to “white box” testing

Test form factors and technologies based on scopes of work

Perform application and infrastructure penetration tests along with physical security reviews

Define requirements for information security solutions and perform reviews of application designs and source code

Design, develop and implement penetration tools and tests; use existing tools/tests to execute penetration testing activities

Document and discuss security findings with team



Minimum of 2 years of experience

Must be US Citizen, with at least an Interim Secret DoD security clearance or the ability to obtain one

Must have baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, information systems, programming, or related field from an accredited college or university or a minimum of 6 years of applicable experience without the degree

Experience in performing threat analysis of computer vulnerability advisories

Experience with, and knowledge of, current network penetration techniques, and threat reports, to determine security concerns and design improvements to strengthen the computer network’s defensive posture

Experience in performing penetration testing of networks and systems to emulate threats and improve the computer network defense posture

Experience in performing technical malware or forensic analysis on hard disk drives, solid state drives, and other media and hardware

Experience in creating and integrating custom rules and reports into security tools to support network intrusion monitoring on information systems and networks

Minimum certification: Security+


Additional Desired Qualifications:

An understanding of Aircraft Launch and Recovery Equipment and/or aircraft Support Equipment is preferred

CASP/CISSP preferred

CEH, GIAC GPEN, or similar certification is desired

Experience applying DOD and Navy IA and Information Security (IS) policies and standards is preferred
