Client Accounting Manager

Job objective

The client accounting manager analyzes statistics, prepares supporting documentation and reports. Responsible for matter management, including time entry and value, disbursement tracking and monitoring progress against approved budgets.

Essential duties and responsibilities

Maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure

Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year-end close

Ensure the timely reporting of all monthly financial information

Respond to inquiries regarding special financial reporting requests

Participate in annual audit

Make recommendations for developing and improving accounting processes

Create reports and power points as needed

Send out monthly business development reports and manage BD accounts

Set up general ledger accounts as needed, organizing chart of accounts

Assist billing department with client, matter and timekeeper maintenance

Assist with firm collection efforts

Assist with bookkeeping daily receipts/revenue

Qualifications

 

Bachelor Degree

Five+ years’ of accounting experience

3E experience preferred

Ability to analyze and problem solve

Law firm experience required
