Skype Operations Specialist

The Skype Operations Specialist will be a part of a dynamic team responsible for operational support of a Global Skype for Business 2013 implementation with Enterprise Voice capabilities. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Provide technical expertise to migrate users from Legacy Legacy Avaya Voice
  • Provide Level 2 incident support for Enterprise voice with Skype for Business 
  • Triage and resolve critical issues related to voice migration 

Skills: 

  • Must have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field 
  • 3+ year of experience supporting Skype for Business Voice migration and Migration tool sets (Unimax, Sefautils)
  • Experience deploying, configuring, and supporting Lync 2013 & Skype for Business Enterprise Voice including supporting the following functions:
    • Core Skype functionality on desktop and mobile clients
    • User management , full understanding of Voice policy, Dial Plan and Voice routing
    • Analyzing and troubleshooting user experience and service quality for Voice features
    • Using third party tools for migrating ,monitoring and administering Lync / Skype environments for incidents
  • Understanding of Voice and VoIP technologies (SBC, PBX, SIP, etc)
  • Understanding of Active Directory, DNS, Routing, Load Balancing, Quality of Service, and other core network technologies
  • Strong experience with PowerShell or other scripting languages
  • Experience with Enterprise Voice and Call Management features in Lync (voice routing, call management, E911, and SIP trunk)
