HR Generalist

Our client is currently seeking an HR Generalist. Your responsibilities will span a variety of different functions such as employee relations, compliance, benefits and employee programs


  • Help streamline payroll for internal employees and consultants
  • Manage the administration of benefit enrollment for internal employees and consultants
  • Develop and distribute communications to keep internal staff informed of pertinent policies and deadlines
  • Champion employee engagement activities to create a great working environment.
  • Own the departure/termination process - termination letters, notifications, exit interviews etc.
  • Own employee onboarding for new hires – orientation, paperwork etc.
  • Assist hiring managers with the recruiting process – offer letters, status reports etc.
  • Oversee the analysis, maintenance, and communication of records required by law or local governing bodies, or other departments
  • Evaluate effectiveness of current processes and recommend improvements and solutions

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of progressive Human Resource generalist experience
  • Working knowledge of Federal labor laws and practices
  • Working knowledge of New York/New Jersey state labor laws
  • Excellent presentation, written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to work and communicate effectively with a wide array of personnel from interns to senior management
  • Strong MS Office skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with ADP WorkforceNow
  • SHRM certification
  • Knowledge of labor laws in other states such as Michigan, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Illinois, Florida, Texas, California, Massachusetts, Arizona
