This candidate will design and architect inventive FPGA systems able to provide a larger variety of financial business offerings in an ultra low-latency embedded trading system. You will integrate with the development team and the current code base, and use this as a framework to develop new components and designs. This will include feature enhancements, performance and capacity optimizations, stability improvements, verification, test automation, and technical debt pay-down.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and development of industry-leading, ultra low-latency FPGA trading systems
  • Holistic simulation and testing of the trading system for high reliability
  • Provide estimates for tasks including design, development, and testing
  • Support analysis, testing, and operations teams
  • Participate in code reviews and architectural decisions
  • Evaluate 3rd party IP

Skills:

  • Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science
  • 4+ years industrial experience with FPGA design and verification in SystemVerilog, Verilog, or VHDL
  • Experience with Ethernet and TCP/IP
  • Experience working in a Linux environment
  • Understanding of higher-level CS concepts such as data structures and algorithms
  • Expertise in SystemVerilog for both design and verification
  • Advanced expertise in computer networks, computer architecture, and operating systems
  • Industrial experience with a higher level language such as C/C++, Java, or Python
  • Experience with embedded systems
  • Advanced knowledge of Linux
  • Agile development techniques
