HR Business Partner


Our client is a recognized multinational financial services holding company, active in the investment banking, private banking, and asset management arenas.  They are currently looking for an HR Business Partner to be a part of their Global Markets and Investment Banking units.  This is a senior contractor, VP-level role within their operations in Raleigh, NC.


  • Provide strategic counsel on HR policy and best practice
  • Provide business strategy solidly rooted in an understanding of the HR function.
  • Partner with regional HR representatives on streamlining within compensation, benefits, recognition, retention and performance management initiatives.
  • Create innovative solutions reflecting client needs
  • Support and participate in change management strategies
  • Assist in the design of corporate culture and climate
  • Commissioning specific or special HR projects and assign them to different teams
  • Provide coaching and guidance in recognizing and solving common HR issues
  • Manage regulatory, legal and fiscal risk
  • Proactively anticipate critical HR issues, applying knowledge of best practices to make them company practices.
  • Advise on strategic direction and provide consultative support across recruitment, talent acquisition, retention and employee development.



  • 6 or more years within an active full-spectrum HR role, such as a Business Partner or HR Generalist.
  • Excellent business skills, with a strong strategic perspective
  • Result and solution-oriented, able to creatively solve problems
  • Ability to analyze data and present human capital improvement opportunities
  • Experience working within a highly matrixed organization
  • Proven experience in handling complex employee relations, compliance, and employment law cases
  • Working knowledge of laws applicable in countries where the group has employees.
