Meet Carla Ganci!

Carla is the Director of Talent Acquisition at Open Systems Technologies in the Red Bank office! 

1. Why did you join OST? 
I joined OST because the core values of the leadership team aligned with mine.  OST not only has a highly regarded professional reputation within the staffing industry, but they truly care about their employees.  As a Human Resources/Recruitment professional, it is very easy for me to convey the core values of our company to prospective candidates because I truly believe in them.  

2. What do you look for in a potential candidate?  
I look for someone with an exceptional work ethic, high integrity and someone who demonstrates the ability to challenge the status quo.  My goal is to hire someone who wants to exceed their own expectations, as well as ours.   

3. What is one piece of advice you have for someone who is just starting here?   
Be a sponge, learn as much as you can about our business and never be afraid to ask a question or speak up.  No matter what professional level you fall into, never stop learning from the people around you.  

4. What is your favorite thing to do in the city you work in?  
Red Bank is known for having outstanding restaurants, I would love to try them all! 

5. In the zombie apocalypse, what would be your weapon of choice?
Hmm.. I’m not too up-to-date on the zombie fighting weapons, but I’d have to imagine a really big sword would do the trick!

6. What is one thing a candidate should always have in their resume? 
It is important that a prospective candidate has the ability to quantify their previous professional achievements on their resume.  I look for people who can articulate their professional achievements with numbers.  The famous saying “proof is in the numbers” truly applies in terms of a resume.  

7. And lastly, what is your favorite part about your job?
My favorite part about my job is having the ability to create something new for the company.  Whether it’s helping OST break into a new recruitment vertical or implementing an innovative sourcing strategy, the company promotes and supports creative thinking.
