History

Established in 1990, Open Systems Technologies has been the definitive leader in supplying technical engineers to the New York financial services community since its inception. Our original emphasis was with Unix O/S and distributed technologies. Much of the financial industry at that time, were committed to proprietary operating systems. Our unique ability in understanding this new technology offered Open Systems a competitive advantage as computing environments transitioned and moved forward.

In 1995, we expanded into the Massachusetts region, providing candidates to both the financial services sector, and the computer services industry in Boston’s route 128 area. Clients welcomed the opportunity to work with a firm who supplied engineers combining top-notch technical skills with specific domain knowledge of their applications. Applicants appreciated our knowledge of advanced technology and our ability to place them in a well suited match.

In the past five years, we’ve continued to expand both our philosophy and methodologies across the country. With offices in Philadelphia, Houston, and Chicago, we continue to service the top-tier financial institutions in search of rapidly shifting technical disciplines. Currently we have 1300+ consultants, and a permanent placement division with an unceasing demand for qualified technical engineers.
