New marketing team to make Open Systems staffing solutions a household name

02.16.12 - It’s like survival of the fittest in technology. If you want to remain on top, you have to roll with the punches. While the concept of marketing is certainly not new, social media is definitely a recent hot topic. And so, Open Systems welcomes its new marketing team to capitalize on social media to bring more visibility to the company.  With regular email communications, blogging, and use of online social media, the marketing team will publicize the strengths of Open Systems to reinforce the presence of current consultants and to increase the placements of its candidates.
 

A common discussion amongst the recruiting community is if social media will end up replacing the need for recruiters. Although this isn’t true, times are changing and true survivors will also need to change. “The key to Open Systems’ long-term success is by leveraging the human aspect of recruiting through social media,” says Open Systems’ Marketing Manager, Alanna Herling.  “And in order to succeed in our social media campaign, we must brand our organization through impactful marketing communication.”
 

Open Systems has been around for over twenty years, and is one of the largest privately held firms in the staffing industry.  As they continue to work closely with many Fortune 1000 companies, they know that solid relationships must always be reinforced – for both its clients and consultants. Strong communication strengthens these relationships.  “We already know the industry, and it’s important to stay current by sharing information in the marketplace,” says Alanna.  “To be a leader in the industry, we must not only advise our clients and consultants, but also learn from them.” Open Systems has started its own blog, http://opensystemstech.wordpress.com/, which offers recruiting advice and lists industry-related events. The blog also features a section for the company’s press, a section with updates from inside the company, and a section for viewers to post comments/questions.
Open Systems expects to grow even more through social media sites like Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and industry websites/blogs. Through these forums the well-known staffing company will share industry information regularly. Whether through survey polls distributed by email blasts or questions asked on Facebook, Open Systems’ marketing team will analyze feedback to stay ahead of the industry trends and to educate the community.
 

To further personalize its social media efforts, some of Open Systems’ local offices will also hold networking events for clients and consultants to interact. This will be a great opportunity to strengthen existing relationships and to create influential new ones.  Plus, client executive guest speakers like to occasionally surprise networkers with spontaneous insight into the latest recruiting efforts within their own organizations.
 

A lot of time, planning, and hard work has been put into the Open Systems 2012 marketing plan, and the team is off to a great start.  In addition to its blog, they’ve initiated email blasts and successfully held their first networking event in New York, NY – with many referrals being generated.  The new addition to the Open Systems family is already paying off, but they know there’s still a lot to do.  In fact, the next event is scheduled in Dallas, TX, reaffirming Open Systems’ name and relationships throughout the country.
